David Frings was elected as Alabaster’s Mayor in September, 2000.  He has been a resident of Alabaster since he moved from Jefferson County in 1982.

Future:                                             

Mayor Frings has many visions for Alabaster in 2008 and future years.  His top five goals for 2008 include:

• Additional partnering with the Shelby County Schools that serve the citizens of Alabaster.

• Work through our State and County officials to improve major roads.

• Continue to build on our economic success and progress.

• Continue to grow and improve our park system.

• Complete the master plan and begin construction of a new City Hall and other municipal buildings such as a senior center, police station, recreation facility, and library.
